Charlotte County Women’s Circles
Drop in and sit with us for a while. Give someone an idea for a better way to cope. Express your feelings. Offer a good recipe for a healthy, cheap meal. Teach a craft. Encourage women who struggle or have struggled with issues of abuse and violence. Accept a helping hand. Talk about building healthy relationships. Bring a story or poem you have created or found that has touched you. Share your ideas for social change. Pass the cookies (…. when there are cookies☺). Ask for help with a project. Plan a walk in the park or Take Back the Night.
Tell us what YOU want to do next week …
Thursday evenings at 7 pm (usually until around 9 pm)
at Kirk McColl (upstairs).
Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am at the St. George Baptist Church (Main Street in St. George) in the prayer room. Just follow the signs leading to the right from the main door/foyer.
Call for information, to confirm that there is a meeting (we do sometimes cancel in extreme weather such as winter storms or very hot summer days; also in the case of illness or emergencies). We sometimes meet elsewhere in the hospital if the boardroom is needed so calling ahead helps get you to our meeting when the room changes: Carol Lynn @ 469-5544

This group is a support group for women who are survivors of family violence or abuse (domestic violence, intimate partner violence and abuse) and the women who support victims of abuse and for those with a general interest in women's wellness. We discuss making better choices for ourselves and for healthier relationships; self-care and building self-esteem; the cycle of abuse and violence and what can be done to make a difference.
Again, please note that occasionally, a meeting may be cancelled due to illness, extremely bad weather or in the event of an emergency. It is best to call 469-5544 the afternoon of the meeting to confirm that the meeting will go ahead as planned or leave your number with Carol Lynn, so that you can be notified if a meeting will not be held.
