Outreach services are available at no cost to you. This community resource is intended to provide assistance to the women of Charlotte County who have been affected by Domestic Violence, Family Violence or Intimate Partner Violence.
Violence Against Women (VAW) includes not only physical violence but also emotional/psychological abuse, sexual abuse, financial and spiritual abuse. One of the ways Outreach Services may be able to help is by talking about the effects of abuse and violence, either on the phone, by email or meeting in person.
There are options to discuss whatever your situation is. Just telling your story to someone who is there to listen can help. There are also resources, information, contacts and referrals that may be helpful to you. This may include but not limited to applying for Legal Aid, Victim Services, accessing Women Shelter's, Housing and more.
If you currently don't feel safe, we can talk about: developing a safety plan, or considering whether a shelter stay might be appropriate or whether you may need to contact the RCMP.
Call (506)469-5544 to speak with the Outreach Coordinator or call 911 immediately, if you feel at risk. For information about Fundy Region Transition House, call (506)466-4485.
